Spring 2021 Update on Programming During COVID-19

Dear Patrons & Friends of Elm Street Cultural Arts Village,

There have been continuous changes happening in our community due to COVID-19. As we are certainly included in this, we wanted to provide an update on what some of our programming looks like going into 2021.

Elm Street has made the following changes to its programming:

Theatre

Due to current COVID-19 (Coronavirus) cases locally and state-wide, Elm Street has made the decision to postpone the student production of Freaky Friday, originally scheduled for February 4 – February 7, 2021. The performance has been rescheduled to March 11 – March 14, 2021. This is to ensure the health and safety of all students, parents, guests, volunteers, and staff involved in the production. Impacted ticket buyers will have their tickets automatically transferred to the new performance dates and have been contacted to verify communication of this change and to process any ticket requests. Additionally, with current COVID-19 data, restrictions on live performance venues in the state, and logistics surrounding an extended rehearsal and performance schedule we have made the decision to postpone our upcoming productions of 26 Pebbles and Sister Act To Be Determined, with plans to incorporate these shows as part of an upcoming Season.  All impacted ticket buyers have been contacted with options for their tickets.

While we are cautiously optimistic for the coming months, we want to ensure that when we provide our programs we are still showing stewardship of your support and keeping your health and safety as the highest priority. For now, the environment to best tell these fantastic stories is not the safest environment for our audiences. We do look forward to producing these and other shows that we’ve postponed and using these stories to positively impact our community through the arts.

Here’s what you need to know:
*NEW* Small, safe, and spaced comedy nights with iThink Improv as well as guest comedians hosted by Jessica It’s All Good (LIVE & DIGITAL option) ADDED now through July
Freaky Friday ➡️  Postponed 3/11 – 3/14
26 Pebbles ➡️  Postponed to TBD Season
Sister Act ➡️  Postponed to TBD Season

If you already have tickets to Freaky Friday, they will automatically be transferred to the new dates.

These were not easy decisions to come to, as so many of our community members are impacted by the arts.

However, we are all about community and will continue to act in the best interest of our guests. These are the steps we have taken:

If you have any questions (and for fastest answers), please email info@elmstreetarts.org.

As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, we rely on a combination of ticket sales and donations to be able to provide a wide variety of arts programming to our community and ask that you consider a tax-deductible donation to allow our programming continue.

We will continue to provide updates on how the outbreak impacts the rest of our programming. We miss getting to connect with you through powerful stories and cannot wait to see you soon. Thank you for your continuous support and understanding as we navigate what our programming looks like.
